Graduate in Business Studies, holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from ESADE and a diploma in Tourism from ESMATUR, a centre affiliated to the University of Girona (UdG). She also has a diploma in Tourism Administration and Management from ESADE. In the private sector, Carmen Ferrer Torres built her career in international consumer goods companies until 2004. In 2006, she became the first head of the Ibiza and Formentera Tourist Foundation. This was the step leading to her political career. In 2007, she joined Vicent Marí’s team at Santa Eulària des Riu Town Hall in the Tourism, Commerce and Restoration departments. It was the prelude to a term of office in Consell Insular d’Eivissa where she was Tourism Councillor until returning to local politics in 2015, this time as town councillor for Civic Relations and Municipal Development.
